Duality Group for Calabi-Yau 2-Moduli Space

We present an efficient method for computing the duality group Γ of the moduli space for strings compactified on a Calabi-Yau manifold described by a two-moduli deformation of the quintic polynomial immersed in (4), =15(₁⁵++₅⁵)-a₄³ ₅² -b ₄² ₅³. We show that Γ is given by a 3--dimensional representation of a central extension of B₅, the braid group on five strands.
