We give an effective algorithm to compute the Euler characteristics χ(₁,ₙ, ⊗ᵢ₌₁ⁿ Lᵢᵈⁱ). In addition, we give a simple proof of Pandharipande's vanishing theorem Hʲ (₀,ₙ, ⊗ᵢ₌₁ⁿ Lᵢᵈⁱ)=0 for j ≥ 1, dᵢ ≥0.
