About Composite Scalar Representations of the Electroweak Symmetry Group of the Standard Model

الأصل · EN
The scalar composite representations of the electroweak symmetry group of the Standard Model are exhibited in the case of two generations of quarks. The link between `strong' and `electroweak' eigenstates is investigated, showing that the quark content commonly attributed to pseudoscalar mesons needs to be modified. After doing so, the mechanism suppressing the decays K+ into Pi+ Pi0 with respect to Kshort into Pi+ Pi- is unraveled, without reference to any model of quark spectator or `factorization' hypothesis. The same mechanism is shown to suppress the decays Klong into two pions. Leptonic and semi-leptonic decays are also studied. The mass relations between`electroweak' eigenstates, verified at better than one percent, mass(Pi3)/mass(Pi+) = cos(theta Cabibbo) = mass(chi1910)/mass(Ds) are obtained.
