A lattice generalization of the (b₁ᵤ⊕ b₂g)⊗ b₃ᵤ pseudo-Jahn-Teller model is analyzed within mean-field theory. Ferroelectric or antiferroelectric ground states are found for sufficiently large pseudo-Jahn-Teller coupling.
